05: My Birth Story + Impactful Lessons I learned In My First Year Of Motherhood
*Currently the Self Love Tonic™ Podcast*
*Early Episode Before Rebranding*
Our daughter turned 1 last Saturday and leading up to her party I was sitting in so many feelings. It’s such a strange thing to be able to say that this past year was the fastest year of my life but also the longest year. When I was pregnant I remember another Mom saying to me “the days are long, but the years are short” and I now understand what that means. I’ve spent a lot of time recently looking back at old videos and photos from when I was pregnant and from the first few months of Mia’s life which made me want to read my birth story again and I’m really glad that I did because leading up to her birthday, I couldn’t help but feel like it was my birthday too, which might sound a little weird at first, but recounting the process reminded me that the day she was born was the day that I was reborn.
So as I’ve just marked a year of earthside Motherhood, I thought it would be fun to share my birth story during this episode along with some of the most impactful lessons I’ve learned this past year.
